Monogram Aerospace Fasteners was originally founded in 1889 as National Tack and Screw. In 1949, the company opened its facilities in Commerce, California, where it continues to operate from, and by 1975 exclusively made fasteners for the aerospace industry. TriMas, a global manufacturer of engineered products, purchased Monogram in 1991, adding it alongside Allfast Fastening Systems and Mac Fasteners to its TriMas Aerospace division. In 2012, Monogram opened a new facility in Tempe, Arizona to manufacture fastening collars.

• Blind Bolts: Monogram’s widest offering is in the field of blind bolts, fasteners that are able to be tightened with access to just one side, unlike conventional fasteners which require access to both sides to be tightened. Monogram’s Visu-Lok, Composi-Lok, Radial-Lok, and OSI-Bolt all offer different types of solutions to the need for one-sided fasteners.
• Temporary Fasteners: Monogram offers the Wedgelock of temporary fasteners that support a wide range of applications, with manual, plier, and power operated fasteners that come in numerous configurations. Installation tooling, drill jigs, drill stops, template fasteners, and a variety of clamps are also included in this category.
• MAF Fastening System: The MAF Fastening system consists of a fine pitch threaded pin, sleeve, and locking collar that provides precise controlled clamp-up of materials like composite sandwich panels, soft core foam panels, metallic sandwich panels, and other materials that can be sensitive to high bearing stress. This system is available in full shank, reduced shank diameter, and variable grip configurations.
• Collars: This division includes collars used in conjunction with other fasteners to provide a quick assembly solution for shear applications.
• Double Flush Fasteners: This type of fasteners are designed to be especially aerodynamic, and are used in the trailing edges of horizontal tailplanes and vertical stabilizers.
